Thun is a lovely medieval town at Lake Thun. It has a castle looking over it as you can see from a photo above (and it is quite a climb up there).
Thun is also famous for its wooden covered bridges and during the summertime you can see surfers and swimming kids in the river.
The water isn't very warm because it comes from the mountains. As you can see the surfer needs to wear a wet suit.
At the lake you can see Schadau palace. You can also swim in the lake, but again - the water isn't very warm.
Thun is surrounded by the mountains which makes it a perfect starting point for hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.
There are couple of museums also in Thun but I haven't visited most of those yet. I'm sure I will have plenty of opportunities to do that! I have visited Panorama painting which is definitely worth seeing!
And now some more views of the town itself.
